    Default Waxing And Pregnancy

    Hello There,

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and summer just arrived and I want to get some waxing done.
Is this safe to do while your pregnant?

    Does anybody know?

Love to hear about your thoughts.

Is definately safe- but a lot more but a lot more painful so beware! I had waxing done all through my sons pregnancy. And have had it done through this one to. I have increased the amount I get waxed this time, as it seems to be less painful the closer together I get it done. Was good, because when I had my c-section I didnt need to get shaved by the nurses.

Oh, I should also add, that towards the end of my pregnancy with Declan I couldnt lay flat on my back. When my upper body was raised, I did bruise a little, but nothing to worry about too much.

I had my first brazilian and legs wax done the other weekend while 5 weeks pregnant - and man DID IT HURT!!!! I have been doing it for 6 years now, every 6 weeks without fail and pain has never been an issue before - but OMG it was painful!! I think I will try to numb the area with an ice pack first next time lol, otherwise I dont know if I can brave it!

OMG Jay, I'm way not game enough to get a brazillian - pregnant or not! LOL.

I've only ever had my legs waxed when pregnant coz it's the only times I can't reach and/or see, I really should try it when I'm not pregnant - seems like it would hurt less. hehe

I was going to get it ALL done as a 'gift' for my DF (for the wedding in 3 weeks) But I'm starting to get a little scared of the idea now!

Maybe I'll have to do house cleaning untill I'm completely exhausted so I'm too sleepy to feel the pain as intensly... what do you think girls?

Oh- and I was reading on my home wax kit that if you apply talc to the area first it helps remove the hair, and not have the wax attach to the skin as much. Also make sure your hair isn't too long (your tassie map hair should be maz 6mm long to reduce pain).

Good Luck to all (and bouncing it back to me I hope too)
