Default what was your free B-hcg and PAPPA

hi all just had my nuchal and bloodtests. outcome was good 1 in 3008 for downs and 1 in 5200 for 13 and 18. BUT i noticed that my B-hcg seemed high, 1.750 after research on the net it seems that 1 MOM is normal so the 1.750 MoM is high. my PAPPA i believe is pretty norm at 1.04 MoM. could anyone give me their results for the bloodtest. it seems that a high free B-hcg could indicate downs yet they haven't really reflected this in my risk factor.
i will see my doc in a couple of days but as i have a neice with abnormal chromosone's, one too many or one too little i get mixed up and she has a multitude of problems that this is a concern for me. i am now thinking about an amnio, what is the earliest this can be done i,m aware of the FISH test, if my baby has a chromosome disorder we will terminate. what is the process there if that in the worse case scenario was what had to happen i wouldn't want to go into labour how much time do i have so that termination can be done in another way and how is this done. in my heart i think everything is going to be ok but i need to look ahead and be prepared. i have 3 children already to consider. i think bubby ok but this high freeBhcg is a worry.

please tell me your results, where can i get an amnio done asap 14 weeks say and does anyone know an excellent doctor in brisbane.

    please help louisa

    Hi Louisa,

    My results were:

    DD - free B-hCG - 0.91 MoM and PAPPA 1.58 MoM.

    DS - free B-hCG - 1.12 MoM and PAPPA - 1.29 MoM.

I thought the combined risk factors that you get includes the NT scan and the results of the B-hCG and the PAPPA .

Can't help you out with the other questions sorry.

    Good luck,

    Bron
