Do baby stores price match???
Does anyone know if baby stores (like Bubs/Babies Galore etc) price match?
I've decided I need a Phil & Teds Vibe... ( so i'm gunna sell my Sports and get me one!) (They look so much more comfy/padded for the kids)
Just wondering if its worth going to a few stores and seeing what discounts I can get?
My local has the Vibe, with the doubles kit, for $900 till the end of the week and i'm thinking it may be worth going to the opposition with the price to see if they will better it?
I'm just thinking back to when we went to buy a few whitegoods from The Good Guys and took our quote to Bing Lee who dropped more than $1400 off their floor prices to better our quote...
Anyone done any deals lately?

Can't hurt to ask.
I know of two people who have got excellent deals on P&Ts lately just by bargaining.

Babies Galore does. My hubby always negotiates (or tries to) and he asked for a discount on our Maxi Rider we brought recently. They asked if we had a price from another store and we said no. She spoke to her manager and gave us 10% off.

Babies Galore will price match if the price you get is from a shop that physically exists, not just an online store. If it's an online store they will add a shipping charge, because you'd need to pay that to the online store anyway.
I recently got a great discount on my P&T Sports by showing them a deal I could get in Coffs Harbour, and despite me being in Sydney and not even being able to get to Coffs Harbour they matched the price!! You need to be able to prove it though.
Happy shopping!Me DH

Babies Galore SAY they always beat a competitors price but I had an interesting experience recently.
I wanted to buy a SnS Maxi Rider & another baby store only 5 mins up the road from my local Babies Galore had them on special. I took in a print out from their website but the manager at Babies Galore told me I should go & buy it at the other shop as she couldn't match the price (apparently the difference was greater than what she was allowed to discount!).
It was an advertised special at the other store so not any special circumstances. I was annoyed as I had been given a gift card from Babies Galore that I was hoping to put towards the seat.
Oh well, I know I will use it on something else!My 2 gorgeous girls

Getting them to throw in some accessories is sometimes easier (and $ for $ a better deal) than a discount. When mum bought our cot and mattress they gave us a small discount but threw in a pram liner she wanted as well.
However when we went to Baby Bunting to buy a car seat they wouldn't deal. The shop we wanted to buy from didn't have the colour we wanted but were cheaper. We asked Baby Bunting and they said they would match the other shops deal. Only when they looked at the website of the other store there was only a picture of two colour options (at the bottom of the page it listed the other colours available), they would only match the price on the seats actually pictured
I then had a bit of a sleep deprived meltdown and freaked out several pg mums It didn't help and I've never been back into their shop.ME 40
