Cool Walking Bare Foot on tiles?????

Hi all, im not sure if its just my mother- inlaw or what it is (actually all the 40+ yr old women around me) since they found out the we were expecting (im 21 weeks now) im forever been told not to walk bare foot on tiles or other cold surfaces as it will effect baby, get this close friend of mine her 6mth old son went into hospital a few weeks ago with a large intestine problem ( intestine kinda sucked into itself, common occurance for that age group baby is fine just needed air blown into bottom to re-inflate intestine) anyways my mother inlaw says that all because she went bare foot, apperently all illnesses come from feet now I find it impossible that a baby 6mths old would be suffering ill effects from mother walking bare foot while pregnant. I much prefer walking bare foot and been comfortable body temp then wearing slippers and overheating ( i dont take heat well) and if I feel that my feet are cold well im not stupid to put up with it ofcourse i put some socks on. Anyways has anyone else been told off about walking bare foot on tiles and does it cause any health problems. She says I well get arthritis or joint pain whatever when I get older.

Ohhh I had to get that off my chest

I think my mother-inlaw is not too impressed that im not taking in her advice, I have always been a bare foot person it actually more soothing for the feet standing on cold surface at least for me it is, its crazy we went to coles together a few weeks ago, and I reached up to grab something of the shelf and I got told off grrrrrrr me and my darling husband were mucking around chasing each other around the house, well apperently im not suppose to run thank god our house has finished building and we will be moving out in 3 weeks time wooohoooo If only my mum was around to support me/back me up but unfortunatly thats impossible

This made me think of what happened to us pregnant ladies/small children when there was no such thing as shoes!

I think thats just another old wives tale.

Silly old wives tale ! It's a bit like "don't frown in the wind or the wind will change and your face stay like that" or "don't go to bed with wet hair or you'll catch a cold.."
