Default Gastro - how long are you contagious?

DH was struck down with gastro yesterday morning. He was sick all day yesterday and ended up getting an injection to stop the vomitting. He's at home today (I'm at work, DD is at FDC) but is better than yesterday.

Normally DH picks DD up from FDC as I dont get home till late. Yesterday I left work early to pick her up. I'm not sure if I should pick her up again today or if DH will be able to. I'm really concerned that she will get it (i've been going nuts with the Glen 20 and restricted DH to the bedroom/ensuite). Do you think he'll still be contagious? Also is it airborn?

is it airborn? DH is sitting say 3m away from me. He hasn't been sick since last night and \the runs stopped this morning. I understand that it would be transferrable by sharing cups etc.

    hey manda,

my DD and I had gastro about a month ago and it was horrid.
she the runs for 49 hrs and it didnt go back to normal for about 10 days.
i recovered quite quickly but i was so careful with everything. even now i wash things twice like cups and cutlery and stuff and very wary of cross contaminaton.. i dont know how we got it either.
hubby even slept in the spare room because he didnt want what i had lol....

i reckon just be extra careful with the things you share and if you are not sure just re-wash or re-do something for just in case...
