Youngsters #20 - New year, new beginning
Link to the OLD THREAD
Welcome Ladies to the new thread - The older one hit 200 posts awhile ago, just been to busy to make a new one...
How is everyones new year going so far? - Introduce yourself, if your new...
Little bit about me:
Names Nikita or Keta - whichever...Im a mother of 2 - Olivia and Dominic. Married July last year, we have a friend living with us atm, which at times is very stressful. Olivia is fully toilet trained - shes comming up to 4 this March, so i was starting to worry if she'd ever get the hang of it - but alas
Dominic is a spitting image of daddy, yet my additude which isn't all that complimenting (on my behalf
) he will fight to the death over the smallest things, so i generally give into him

oh my goodness - GBH!!!!!
I was in pre-labour for 3 weeks with DD... I ended up at the hospital twice due to the contraction pains. I laboured in my back with her, and god was it awefull - i would rather labour in the front like i did with DS then the back anyday. Worst pain ive ever felt
How was your birth with DS? Quick? drugfree? any problems?

ive ended up in hospital twice to 4 pain it sucks as all they do is send u home with panadol fort and say wait it out and deal with the pain
on the bright side i started loosing my mucous plug today
as for with my ds my hind waters actually broke a week early and i went in 2 hospital that night, the next morning they broke the fore waters i went in 2 full on labor for 7 hours all up and none of the drugs worked on me so had 2 go drug free which was painfulme 24, husband 26

Well hello...i did join the last one but it was when i was brand new to the whole forum and didnt really understand how it worked, then when i went back in it was like pages long and i felt like an intruder haha
So anywho, my name is Shannon im 23 + 1 (i dont like even numbers so decided to stay 23 for another year haha), im engaged to a wonderful man, we'll be celebrating our 8 year anniversary this june and we're proud parents of beautiful little Ruby who turned 1 about 2 weeks ago.
Im currently a SAHM but have applied for a number of part time reception jobs hoping to get a few hours a day, a few days a week just for a bit of extra $$, have had a few rejections, still waiting to hear from others.
Ruby is still being breastfed but its been brought to my attention that im in a bad habit of feeding her to sleep and that i need to change this routine but the only problem is i dont know how to get her to sleep other than feeding....so DF and i are going to try and come up with some ideas and try a few things out and see where we end up
So thats me, thats where im at for the moment
My mother always taught me, "If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all"

Shannon - YAYYY, i see you got a new username??? A suggestion for Rudy's feeding. mmm where to start? What i did with my DS (he would wake just for a bottle and wouldnt go to sleep without one) is i would give him a 'dream feed' about 9-10pm before we went to bed, and if he woke of a night, i would only give him water in a bottle.... it worked for me, and i think its because, they wake wanting milk, so if you give them something they dont want, they go back to sleep (mind you, the first few nights/week is a total B!tch getting them back to sleep), and over time he stoped waking for something he didnt want... if that makes sense??
Rachel - w00h00 for mucus plug... ..
