I see a few others floating around here that are in the states & thought I'd put a post on here to see where the moms or moms to be are from in the states.

Im originally from Virginia and the hubby is as well.

We are currently living in New York (Long Island) due to his Coast Guard career.

Moving in the Late Spring/Early Summer of 2005.

I grew up in Virginia. I was in the Army for 5 years, so I have lived in Tennessee, Kentucky, and California. Getting ready to move to Kentucky again.

Well, I stumbled on to this website by accident, but it is very unique so I joined in. I actually live in Nebraska believe it or not.

The only thing that has been hard for me to adjust to when reading posts is the terminology that is used for different baby things such as diapers, pacifiers, etc. Just bear with me if I don't understand or if I'm not understood.

It's always nice to have newbies.

I love this site, it has been a god send since I found out I was pregnant for the first time. You'll find a lot of wonderful gals on here that are more than willing to help you through ANYTHING and the best part is that they are going through or have been through the same experiences as you reguardless if this is your first, second, third, etc. baby.

Nebraska....and I thought I was cold here in New York.....especially coming from the south!

I'm in the US too! I'm in Massachusetts about 45 minutes south of Boston. I'm about 1 hour east of wonderful Cape Cod. We actually have a family summer home out there and my mom lives on the Cape full time. We love it and we're beach bums all summer! At the moment I'd LOVE some summer weather....well, ok not summer, but definitely spring weather!!! We have about a foot of snow on the ground and its freezing cold. I hate winter in New England. My daughters are in Austin, Texas right now on Christmas vacation visiting their dad.They're driving down to Galveston for a few days to some resort down there. The weather is close to 80 degrees and they're going swimming!!! I'm jealous!!!!

I know what you mean Fran. I love the summers here....well I love the summer time but not the summers here in "The Hamptons" too many people in such a small town AT ONCE! But it is a beautiful place to live.

We'll be moving from East Hampton this spring, hopefully around May/June. We won't know where we are going until around the 15th/31st of January. Im keeping our fingers crossed that is a little further south, well at least North Carolina. Some place closer to home especially with the baby on the way and all our family being down in VA. Will make visits alot easier.

We got about 7 inches of snow here on Long Island. It's SLOWLY melting but it's melting. Today is rather nice but then again I've been having hot flashes lately and the cold sure does feel good to me (poor husband, I feeze him to death).
