Default nappy rash - sleeping & TT problems?

DD (2yrs5mnths) is generally a really good sleeper... in bed by 8 at the latest and sleeps right through, until 2 nights ago. She doesnt generally sleep much during the day, if at all.

2 nights ago she wouldnt go to bed till we went at 11:30, last night was a little better and she was asleep about 10. I know its not a long time to be wondering whats going on but she has changed so dramatically and the only thing I can put it down to is that she has got a nasty bout of nappy rash (looks like teething nappy rash but I'm not sure she has any more teeth to come through). Nothing has changed in her bedtime routine but she is just not going to sleep.

Might sound a stupid question but is it possible its the nappy rash?

Also, would nappy rash possibly make her less reluctant to use the toilet/potty? She was doing really well, but now she is insisting on wearing a nappy to wee and poo. She knows when she needs to wee and/or poo, knows thats what the toilet/potty are for but is refusing to use either and will hold it in until a nappy is on. Any suggestions?
