Hi All

Thought I would join in after reading on and off for a bit. DH & I have been TTC for 3.5yrs or so now and last October saw a FS. We started Ovulation Induction in Feb using Pregnyl and got a BFP but miscarried just before 7 weeks. My AF returned in 4 weeks I think and so we started again. But this time my Estrogen and Progesterone (P levels were actually down when I go pg so was on pessaries) levels were down and I had 1 follicle and had a BFN.

This month, same thing, my Estrogen is down really low and Progesterone is not looking good again. I had an appt yesterday and I have 2 10mm follicles on my left and a few more coming up on the right side - this is actually the first time I have had more than 1 follicle. Due to my low E levels, my FS is not confident and gave me the option to not proceed but I decided with worth the try. So now he has given me the Puregon and I need to use 50u each day until Monday and then we may use the Pregnyl to trigger o.

He has also asked me to seriously consider IVF. I don't know. I have so many questions that I thought of after I left my appt. My head is spinning and I can't believe its come to this - only because in my little world, I actually already have a DS which happened quickly and no problems so I naturally expected myself to fall easily again. It appears that the low estrogen is the main cause so then I think, why can't that be fixed nice and easy??? Arrrggghhh, the whole thing is doing my head in.

Splinter - nice to see your pregnancy is coming along nicely!!! I do occasionally stalk the DIG Nov.

Splinter - I obviously want you to hang around, sorry.... How are you going?? Yep I thought of YH the other day, might line him up during the holidays. Need to lose 5kgs though, I would feel better with regard to him as well!!! Since Friday my boo hoo day, I have done 3 spin classes and a flow yoga class, I'm doing a trial session at boot camp on Friday. If nothing else I will have done 5-6 fitness sessions so that can't be a bad thing. I spent a lot of the weekend in bed reading, I so needed a relaxing weekend. How is your baby bump going? Only 3 pregnancy announcements at work last week
Razberi - Welcome, good luck with this cycle. Any questions you have about IVF, ask away and we will try to help. This journey can certainly be a difficult one but there is support here.
nodawn - how did you go?? Waiting to hear. I have to go for my blood test tomorrow AF been and gone so really hate going for the test when I know the result.

AFM - counselling tomorrow, booked in 3 sessions after my last failure due to my bad reaction. I'm much better this time but feel it will be beneficial to speak to someone. My folks are in Europe and haven't caught up with girlfriends yet. Hitting the gym hard so that has got to be a good thing. Blood test in the morning, I hate that part, but the nurse is happy not to call me to tell me what I already know.

Hi all!

Haven't quite read back on everything.
Been living at folks for 4 weeks while we had renos and OMG they only have dial up and getting on the net was PAINFUL.
Back home now but so ridiculously sick with cold and flu. Everyone has it and my poor DS is shockingly snotty.
So it looks like CD1 may start later today cos I'm spotting and I'm supposed to start a frozen transfer cycle but I'm in two minds. I don't think my body is in it's best condition due to losing weight due to stress and gastro and now have had a cold for 3 weeks. Should I postpone for another month or go ahead this month. Desperate to get preggles again BUT will it be pointless if body is not up to scratch????

Hi everyone. I have been wanting to post for days now but somehow this site was always down. So my news is that AF came just like it did with Abelle on Friday so the BFN was not unexpected. I was very upset more so because I dont have any spare backups so have to go through the absolute torture again of OPU. Anyway, I am starting to feel positive again and do look forward to the next time. Abelle, I assume yours was not good either? I hope youre ok. Welcome also to Razberi and good luck! Deet, if you are feeling under the weather, maybe now is not the best time. One month wont make a difference in the whole scheme of things, although I know what you mean about wanting to be preggies. Thanks again to everyone who has welcomed me and for your support.

deet - welcome back to the real world. I agree with nodawn, it is all about state of mind. So if you are feeling run down it might be better to wait for another month. I'm having 2 months off for a whole lot of reasons.
nodawn - oh no, bugger! I know about the whole no back up thing. 3 EPUs with no back ups so I feel for you!! I got 2 back ups this time, I choose to believe it is because of the supplements the nutritionist has put me on but who knows?? I'll try anything.

AFM - did counselling on Wednesday and I think the realization that it didn't work again hit. It was actually really good, I felt good after it. It just reminded me that I am allowed to feel ordinary and upset, it is normal. She also gave me some stories that add a little perspective which was good. Remember ladies, we don't have to be heros..... she told me about a high powered lawyer that went to the toilet in a break during a trial and found out that it hadn't worked and she said that she couldn't go back into court. So the case had to be postponed..... We have to look after ourselves. I have another session in two weeks, as it is free while cycling or within 30 days I'm going to make the most of it. I think it has made me absolutely exhausted though. Really ready for the weekend. Did a bootcamp trial this morning but my hip has not agreed with it so in pain all day. So I think it will be swimming and gym rather than bootcamp for me. I have another session with the nutritional therapist tomorrow, so that should keep me on track in my time off.
