Well done SH! I am impressed! Now I just have to remember what everyone had posted in the last thread!

Trace and Staceyn - you both sound like you have it all under control - well done! I think I must have gone through my first cycle in a dream. I am reading what you are writing and wondering "did I do that - doesn't sound familiar!" I guess I did it right as I got the desired results I think I was using different drugs. I still wonder about all the initials. EPU keeps stumping me. I know exactly what you mean but can't for the life of me work out what the letters stand for except for the E could be Egg???? I know there is an explanation page somewhere - but it is too hard to find - Ill work it out as I go!

Lucky - well done on the +OPK (I do know what that one stands for ). Fingers crossed that your timing is perfect.

Ozzie - I will hope that the m/c makes me extra fertile too - some good should come out of this surely! You sound like you have your plate full in the next few weeks! I was tired just reading your commitments! Phew!

Splinter - whoa - a 21 day bleed. I was not expecting that! Day 4 and I am still going strong though. Good to know your cycle was normal length though - hope mine does that!

I had another blood test today - even the nurse mentioned my arm was starting to show a few needle marks - I have had so many over the last few weeks. I know I could swap arms - but I feel wrong when they take it from my left arm. It feels better from the right arm - strange hey!

Progesterone is down to 2 and HCG down from 700 last Thursday to 50 today! So at least the hormones are not dwindling down - I guess when my body does things it does it fast - even the nurse seemed surprised it dropped so fast. I have no clue if this is normal - obviously - because I seem to have no clue about any of it!! I know I will get up to speed pretty quickly! There was a girl in the clinic with me this morning who was obviously pregnant because all the office ladies were smiling and hugging her and her file was so thick compared to mine - it just shows me that I am a complete newbie to all this.

I see my FS on Thursday so he can write up my next cycle. I am looking forward to that!

Good luck with the trigger tonight Trace - I had to have mine at 12 midnight to be the exact 36 hours before the EPU (not that I know what those initials mean mind you - I am assuming egg collection - hope that is right - LOL) and DH was working night shift so I was all by myself and I had to push out 1/3 of the injection as I was only allowed to inject 2/3 in to me. I had to set my alarm so I would wake up - highly complicated it seems.I hope yours it a bit more simple!

Stillhopefull thanks for the shiney new thread. I hope this one brings us all lots of luck!! Yep my Orgalutran is definitely twice a day, weird of course that clinics vary so much. Second shot done, drew back a bit on this one and no blood so all good, has left a bit of a red mark though that is red so will check that regularly; it's about the same size as an elongated 20c piece...

Splinter Orgalutran is an Antagonist that is injected to prevent ovulation, similar to Synarel in a way. Synarel is a protagonist and is a nasal spray used twice daily for the whole time you are injecting Puregon or Gonal F, whereas Orgalutran is an injection once or twice a day usually started on day 6 or 7 of puregon or gonal F as ovulation gets closer. Stops ovulation so when you use trigger injections the follicles mature ready for collection. That's about the most I know...no idea what the difference between a protagonist and an antagonist.
Orgalutran injection needles are thicker and blunter than puregon or gonal f microfine needles, that is why Stillhopefull and I are complaining about them. Orgalutran is only used in flare cycles I believe.

Hopeful, thanks for the new thread. Enjoy 'the flow' this month...

Stacey, the most excellent result possible, you must be on cloud 9. Hope the week flies by till EPU.

Trace, wow what a haul you will have! I'm impressed. But, hope that OHSS stays far far away. Can't believe only a while ago you were waiting for AF & now look where you're at.

Hi all incl. Splinter, Lucky, SP, Jen - you were right, EPU = egg pick up

Still haven't called my FS to see if I'm going to cycle again this month as I don't know their holiday schedule. It's really not on my mind with everything else going on so I don't mind one way or the other.

Stillhopefull I had a shocker with my jab tonight maybe I will bruise... I kinda always have to sit with the needle ready and psych myself up (only with orgalutran not puregon) which I did. When I jabbed I didn't quite do it fast enough or hard enough so it didn't go in and really hurt, sorta just scratched the surface. Had to choose another spot and jab in there, even that spot I had to push REALLY hard and it didnt want to go in so maybe I just had a blunter than normal one tonight. Hopefully tomorrow mornings goes better.

Am feeling ok, starting to get quite sore and bloated feeling. I'm wondering whether I can feel my ovaries when I gently press my abdo. TMI but it is also really uncomfortable to wee...I think a full bladder is keeping my abdo full, tight and snug whereas while my bladder is emptying everything loosens and my ovaries start to hurt. Doesn't last long though, can't feel it by the time the flow stops. This always happens to be after EPU but never during stim. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Next scan and BT tomorrow so will be in tomorrow evening to share results... If I can't get in during the day from work but I am SO SO busy right now at work, it sucks!!!!

Stacey, on my stim cycles so far esp towards the last few days of puregon it has been uncomfortable when I have a full bladder & I have had to empty it a lot more often as well. Not sure if this is what you mean...

That needle sounds similar to one DH gave me with Pregnyl, it just would not go in without him having to really push through the resistant skin, we weren't expecting it. Wonder why they need to be made that blunt?

Jen, things are only obvious after the fact!

Staceyn - Sounds like the Orgalutran I know all too well. I always had to psych myself up too, honestly with the ice you are so numb you can't even feel the needle. I actually had one needle that I obviously didn't jab in hard enough literally bounced off my stomach! I remember feeling discomfort after having a wee during the later stages of the stim cycle, it was like my full bladder was holding up my ovary and then after it was empty the ovary had no support and felt quite painful, but not for long.

Trace - Sending you everything I have for a great result at EPU tomorrow. Will be stalking for results!

Hi to everyone, still thinking of you all xx

O day for me today so have been busy at it for the last few days , think I'm almost over it & am ready for a rest. Will see what the future holds
