Default What are your thoughts on the new Fernwood campaign?

Hi Ladies,

Just interested to see what your thoughts are on the new Fernwood "foxy" marketing campaign? In particular the "Join for Fox sake" billboards? Personally i think its cheeky and funny but I also know that people out the would be offended seeing this on a billboard... what are your thoughts?

I haven't seen them but I think "join for fox sake" is funny. I think people are too serious these days and they complain too much

I like it, I think its clever!

Pple just like to complain for the sake of it. Speaking of which, what is the deal with the US calling KFC Australia racist because of its recent cricket ads?! Some pple have nothing better to do then sit and complain.

Haven't seen it but from the sounds of it I wouldn't care..

There are 2 ads/billboards that I HATE. The billboards with the whole "want longer lasting sex" and the Daylesford Tourism ad.

Default Not a good look

I think it is frankly appalling. I wouldn't even expect this type of advertising from a blokes beer ad. I really don't consider myself a prude but why do we seem to have to resort to this sort of play on words. This is an advertising campaign for a womens only gym who said their target age group is 25 to 45. I worry about what sort of messages we send to kids with this sort of advertising. Frankly I would have expected better from them and I was actually considering joining but now I will definitely not be setting foot in the door.

I don't mind it at all, these days with all the advertising that is shoved in our faces advertisers need to come up with funnier, memorable slogans to get their product across...

I think its funny...and a good percentage of women would be going to get into shape, get healthy AND to look good...I don't think it is sending a bad message, I think they are just targeting a set audience who go to a gym specifically who for them, looking good is feeling good too!

I agree with MisguidedOne and PinkPaintbrush - I think people just like to complain about things nowadays!

They cant target everyone in the same add etc, so someone is always going to get offended...

Personally I have a good giggle everytime i see the "Want Longer Lasting Sex?" billboards... Even the adds on radio are funny IMO

We have a sign for a gym here that says "be a fox without botox" Might be fernwood I've never taken notice but I think it's funny.

Yep, I think some people take things too seriously, it's just a bit of fun!! I already know I'm foxy without going to Fernwood (bit flabby but still foxy!!)

My son can read..and DD and DS both ask a lot of questions..hearing the radio ads irritate me too. I turn them off, cause I'd rather the kids didn't hear them
