Breastfeeding chairs
So I have noticed from friends and google that everyone has a breast feeding chair of some sort in the nursery..
I have found "Glider Breast Feeding Chairs"
Do people spend that much on a chair ?? Are they worth it ??
What sort of chair did you get ??
TIA

This is the one I have.
I used it for both kids, it was really similar to the hospital feeding chair that I learnt to feed DS in & I heard that the glider/rocker ones weren't that good for the early b/feeding days.
I love that chair, it is still in DD's nursery, thats where I settle her before bed and in the middle of the night if she wakes, plus it has the removable cover which came in handy with 2 reflux babies
I b/fed DS for 8mths and DD for 10mths and that chair was good from birth until I weaned.
It is personal preference but I actually preferred feeding DD in bed anyway & now the kids are getting older I like that the chair can be used elsewhere in the house eventually, it will probably end up in DD's toddler room with her teddy bears and dolls sitting in it.Me + DH = DS & DD

We bought a Valco Seville from Baby Bunting when they were having a sale.
Wasnt really bought as a "breast feeding chair" though, it was DH who wanted it
A couple of the guys at his work have young kids/babies, and are forever haunting him with stories of having to sit on the floor of the nursery at all hours of the night while trying to settle a baby who wont sleep. DH decided he wanted a nice comfy chair instead of the floor.
Havent had a chance to use it yet (at least not with a baby, it sat in our lounge room for a few days before going in the nursery
) so cant really answer the are they worth it question, but they are definitely very comfy

I didn't buy anything special to sit in while feeding bubs in. We had this chair already and that was good to feed in. Other than than I sat on the couch or bed with lots of pillows handy to get comfy.

I have the glider. it's comfortable but only really worth it if your going to use it a lot. I've had 3 kids and only used the chair once
I ended feeding my kids on the couch or in the bed.

I looked at feeding chairs before having DS but decided that we were better off replacing our couch and bought a lounge setting with recliners. I just made sure the arms were at a comfy height for me to be able to feed. I feel really comfortable feeding in them (and have been known to doze off in them during o/n feeds
) Now we don't have an extra piece of furniture to move/find space for. Might be another way to look at it for you...

we have a glider that you can fully recline back and the gliding foot stool as well, really really comfy and we use dit for all the night feeds, even during the day as it was nice just to go in the nursery and have quiet time. Bubs got quite sick around 6 months with bronchiolitis and having the glider meant we could both sleep in the chair with him being uprights and with the vaporiser on etc. IMO it was worth every penny and am looking forward to those quiet times again with no2.

my DH insisted on it after his best mate and his wife raved about theirs.
its easy to clean. and i would fall assleep in it soemtimes!! LOL
i used it for every night time feed, it was perfect for BFing. it reclined, rocked and was generally awesome.

I wasn't going to get one, but did as I saw one on sale and DH really wanted it (for his playstation lol)
Was the best thing I bought. DD had reflux and purple crying and it did help to sooth her as I could keep her upright on my shoulder and also rock/glide her for comfort. I slept on it a few nights too. The only downside was that the one I got was creaky and no matter how much WD40 etc we used it still creaked alot, so DD would wake if I tried to stand up or moved around too much.Me
