Where is my cycle?
Hi
I am new to these forums and would appreciate any advice or opinion. I am a mother to a 20month old son and am TTC for our second.
Historically I have had a very irregular cycle ranging from 30 to 50 days. Before falling pregnant with my son I anticipated problems an has an ultrasound which showed a few tiny cysts on the ovaries and likely PCOS. However before we had a chance to see anyone regarding this I fell pregnant
Since I stopped breast feeding my son approx 9 months ago my cycle returned to a very stable 32 days every month without fail! I am told that having a baby can regulate cycles.
However... We planned on starting to try for a baby this month and my cycle has disappeared! I have not had a AF since 7 December.
I saw my GP yesterday who sent me for a pregnancy test which was negative .. Just in case! Her advice was that it could just be a skipped month or a delay or perhaps my body is reverting to its old irregular cycles.
This is making any planning difficult as I don't know where I am at. When should be start trying? Should I wait for AF or just start trying? Are the ovulation kits any good?
Any advice would be fantastic!
Thanks
