I am not trying to start anything, i have nothing against home births at all. But that article does not consider the ratio between hospital births and home births. It is far more common to give birth in hospital, thus, there are going to be more deaths reported. Also, most mothers considered high risk would be encouraged by doctors to give birth in a hospital where their baby can be delivered safely and have immediate medical attention should something go wrong.
