hey Nyssa, would love to see some of your knitting projects!
here is my hungry caterpillar stash
I got 2 of the panels, 1m of food fabric, 1/2m of yellow number fabric and some beautiful bright azura blue drill to match with it
http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...7/bb-kk039.jpg
not sure what to make yet I have a million ideas though
Im also suprised at the thinness of this material I expected it to be a bit heavier, it feels like very cheap fabric you would pick up at spotty
I also got this cute fabric
http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/c...7/bb-kk038.jpg
I will make something for my sons preschool teachers with it, what I dont know yet, any ideas?
and this for a summer pinnie for DD I just couldnt go past it, its not my usual thing but I just love it

Those fabrics are cool. I have no idea what you should make with them. If I knew about quilting I'd say a nice playmat or blanket but I'm a bit clueless.. hee hee
Oh Colette from Tessuti Fabrics has made my day and added my blog - All Things Mum to her blog roll. I am sooo honoured and privileged. I love reading her blog, it's so inspirational. She has made my month!!!!
I must start cutting out the lining for the top I am making for DD while both bubs are asleep. Sssshhhh.Mum - 33 DH - 33

awww, I just love that hungry caterpillar fabric!!
The hoody is very cute too, how cool to receive something like that in a swap!!
Not much happening here except more costume research. I did manage to get a full circle skirt done, and remake the ruined part of the costume. Oh...and I've made 2 more "gumby's". They were fun coz one was for the dancing teachers DD. She hates them with a passion, so a bit of revenge was rather sweet

I thought I would pop in and share my Hungry Caterpillar project which I made in the last few days. It is a cot quilt/playmat for my new baby girl who is due in August (I am not a fan of pretty pinks, I like brightness!). Anyway here it is:

i agree with mummabear the fabric is pretty light but beautiful all the same. I got the main picture panel, the food fabric, the backing is called vibrant dots, and a couple of other pieces of block colours from the range topped up with fabric from spotlight. Fun fun fun!
I might start popping in to this thread more to get inspired to make fun things for my boy- I have thousands of ideas for girl projects but I don't want poor Oli to miss out!!

Cherry its so gorgeous! Your lil girl is going to love it but from what you said in the PC thread I think Oli would like one too

and who wouldnt!
I am actually thinking of doing a large size one for DSs room, I would do one for DD but I am a pretty pink girl just cant bring myself to add reds and oranges to her nursery mores the pity as it will look stunning im sure
and please do hang about here your creations are beautiful
I made Iris another lil winter pinnie last night will add pics soon
I bought a cute pair of purple striped opaq tights for her a while back and made a dress to match them as I love them and want her to wear them often hahaha so I bought the mauve cord and some lovely mauve crochet flowers especially for these tights
pics to come
