Parenting courses - toddler behaviour, I need help!
Hi all
I was wondering if anyone had great suggestions for parenting courses in Sydney that deal with issues relating to toddler behaviour.
I am struggling so bad with my nearly 4 year old. He is such a generally loving boy and I know he does things for attention but I am struggling to cope with looking after him, a 14 month old, working full time and trying to start a business (so that I don't have to work away from home) plus the general washing and cleaning and feeding etc
I get so angry and frustrated and have no patience so I want to know if anyone has been somewhere I can just learn how to deal with all this. Its hard too when DH works full time in a very tiring job but I am struggling to get everything done. I feel like I am about to burst.
The early childhood nurses are too busy to really offer any advice or time so I am asking the births community as at least you would have experienced it.ME - 35

Hi kimanika
Here is a great website, it's tells you all the courses running and lets you search what area of sydney you are in.
Strengthening Families | Resourcing Parents
I know the triple P is meant to be good, I haven't done it though.
also 1-2-3 magic is great, which I have done.
They are sure to have other's that are relevant too.
Wishing you all the best with it__________________

Hey,
I'm currently doing the Triple P Parenting course. It's been good and have gotten some new ideas.
I'm sure if you did a google search you could find somewhere near you that offers the course. I'm doing it through Banados.
Also 1-2-3 Magic is another good one.Me- 32

Another fan of 123 Magic. The book is great if you can't get to a course and I hear the DVD(s) are as well.

Ive done both 123 Magic and Triple P. Both were gold coin donation near where I live (Inner West sydney) but the courses are offered in lots of areas by different services. I found them both useful and different enough that you could do both (but sounds like time and energy may put a stop to that
Wow, I was tired just reading about all you do, so its no wonder you get frustrated).
Ive got some notes that Im happy to photocopy and send to you if you are interested in reading before doing the actual course. Just PM a postal address and I'll pop it in the mail to you.
