holistic medicine... any recommendations?

Yesterday I found out that I have a large cyst on my one remaining ovary... the u/s looks very very similar to the cyst I had during my pregnancy with DD which resulted in the loss of an ovary and tube during her birth.

I've done some reading and the chances of me keeping the ovary are not great given the size of the cyst and the speed with which it has grown (quite possible it has grown in the last 2 wks).

However, I did find a book with a recommended 'holistic' approach.

Now, I'm generally VERY sceptical about holistic approaches, particularly where they condemn conventional medicine, but its only $39 and at this point I would try anything that could possibly shrink or get rid of the cyst all together.

So, I'm just wondering if anyone has used this approach, particularly for PCOS/ovarian cysts and if anyone has actually had success?

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for holistic type practitioners (particularly those that work together with conventional medicine?)
