Ok it seems there are a few of us girls and maybe guys wanting to Quit smoking so lets unite and share our journey on becoming NON SMOKERS

I took up smoking again last year after heaps of stress. I wasn't smoking heavily. DD didn't even know but I was feeling so guilty, so stoppped cold turkey on the 3rd of Jan. Not missing it one bit. I have made sure I walk 6 kilometres a day and am eating healthy to insure I stay away from them.

I have also found the key is avoiding the places where smoking is the most likely for you. I have a friend who has a "pub" in his backyard. Its really nice to go there and chill and relax but I would always smoke too much, so I haven't been there since I gave up. Just until I feel stronger, not never again.

I used to smoke about 7 years ago for years since I was about 18 (I'm now 38).

I stopped when I was preggers with my first at 20 and started up again and stopped and started . . . tried to stop many many times but couldn't . . .. Until one day I knew a lady my husband at the time worked with who died of lung cancer in her 50's. She had tried to stop for years and was not smoking but addicted to nicotine gum. She had a little grand daugher who she was regretful she would never see grow up. She was so sick an in so much pain. She said she was so filled with regret for not stopping sooner.

Anyway it scared the living cr*p out of me at the time and so I went cold turkey. .. It was a very stressful time for me in my life also. So I thought, "If I can quit the fags now, I can do anything"! . . I was fully determined. I didn't do the patches or go down lower nicotine tar level ciggies. . I just stopped. I think that's the only way to do it!

It was as hard as hell. . .but honestly , . . . if you want to stop, just keep trying and one day you will get so fed up with it you will just say "that's it!" . . .

COURAGE LADIES . . I know you can do it!!!
