Is it normal for it to ease off a bit, then get kinda heavy again?

could it have anything to do with, maybe doing too much (activity)?

Is there anything that one should be worried about in regards to post brith bleeding?

I am one day overdue and had my cervix swept this afternoon to try and help induce labour. Whilst they were doing this my show appeared. Ever since that I have been in pain it doesn't feel like contractions but rather very intense period pain and its been this way for a few hours now and hasn't let up.

This is my second pregnancy, the first one i didnt even get a show just my mucous plug the day before labour. My first labour was only 45 minutes so am obviously a bit anxious if what i am feeling is actually the onset of labour again or if normal.

Has anyone else had the scraping done and also experienced intense pain like this? I had it done a week ago and i didn't feel any pain like this but they also didn't pull at my cervix as much as they did then as today.

I didn't go into why there is an increased chance (wish I had) but obviously he doesn't think it is a big risk because he was happy to agree but was just wondering if you think the risk is worth it?

I know that the extra iron rich blood is great for bub but I tend to run high in my iron levels as it is so bub wont be lacking at all.
I am trying to decide whether I should just cut the cord and advoid the risk or take the chance and wait.

Hi Folks,

Congratulations to all on your pregnancy or babies. I am 35 weeks with my first, with not long to go. im even counting down the days even with reminders on my phone.

My question is, I am having my baby in a puplic hosp, and at birth classes, they said that we ring them when we feel in labour. but usually dont go in until contractions are 3-5 minutes or less (even though hosp is a 40 minute drive!!). Due to financial reason, we have leased out our spare room at our home to a couple who are basically strangers. they share our small 3 bed house with a shared bathroom, but barely talk and keep to themselves.

I am worried about when i go into labour, about being comfortable in my own home. Since early labour and established labour can go for days, I want to be able to do anything i can to stay comfortable and relaxed but I dont think I can do it with them in the house. That includes having baths, lounging on the couch etc etc. I am afraid that as I get further and further along i will be confined to my bedroom, and have to muffle any grunts of pain that may happen if it happens. To me, this is private and not for public viewing or even just hearing.

I asked my husband if he could ask them to find somewhere else to stay for a couple of days, and he said that they pay rent and we cant just kick them out. he then suggested that i go somewhere else like my sisters, but i want to be in my own home!!

Does anyone have any suggestions????

Thanks

Just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with this.

I've just come back from my antenatal appt and my baby is still sitting quite high and not engaged. The middy said that if my waters break there is a chance of the cord coming down and that if it did I'd need to lay on my left hand side with a pillow under my hips and call an ambulance.

Now I'm trying not to get too nervous over this, but I was wanting to see if anyone had gone through this before and how things turned out.

I'm not really expecting my waters to break. They were broken for me when I was fully dialated with my DS and they broke just when I was about to push with my DD.

But yeah, not sure what to think right now to be honest. :bored:
