We dance in the supermarket if they play a song we like.

We make fake fart noises in public toilets then tell people not to go in there when we walk out.

We wore wigs to the petrol station the other day.

We pretend we're on Wipeout when we walk the dog.

So, what crazy things do you do?

Just wanted to share how I am feeling today, and its not the sort of thing I'd share IRL..... so I'm sharing it here, under the cloak of anonymity you get on the internet. :dft009:

My DH and I have been together for 18 years, married for nearly 13. We have three kids, I'm a SAHM, he travels for work quite often. I would say we are happily married, but the mundane of the everyday means that we don't get to spend much time alone, and we rarely tell each other how we feel beyond a simple 'I love you'.

Anyway, he is away for work, and I am missing him a lot this trip. So I decided to 'go back in time' and send him a 'Love Letter' like we used to send each other in the old days. A simple email to tell him that I love him, miss him, and how much I appreciate the sacrifices he makes by travelling, and what it gives us as a family as a result. It felt great to get down how I feel about him.

Time zones meant he didn't read it until after I was asleep, and I woke this morning to a short email from him acknowledging my message, and telling me that he loves me more than he did on our wedding day 13 years ago.

It has put a spring in my step today, I tell you! :043:

Such a simple thing that has given us both a smile!

So it got me thinking - is there anything that you do for your partner out of the blue that brings some magic back into your relationship? I think I could get addicted to this feeling!

#1 - So, the group that owns our company are selling us off. We found out at Xmas and so far the Commerce Commission have put off their decision on a buyer 4 times. Who knows what will happen? We're just playing the waiting game. I love my job, btw, and don't want to leave but can't wait around forever. Who knows, when the company's sold I may be out of work.

Today I saw a job on the Fletcher Building website which I'd love to give a go. Con - I don't have enough experience. Pro - I already work for Fletcher Building (the company that's selling us off) and I'm doing a diploma related to the job.

Do I apply?

#2 - I am a member of the Red Cross USAR team but have been thinking of moving on for a while, politics and favouritism are 2 reasons. Having to drive for an hour to training is another.

The local landsar team are looking for new members. It's on my doorstep, but I'm not landsar trained, only usar. I can learn!

Do I apply?

A day for decisions!
