Hi all,
Just got a bfp from 3 home tests. So delighted but nervous also. Going to gp this week to confirm. Thrilled to find this website as we have no family here and can already see how supportive this will be.
Thank you

Hi Everyone,

So I am looking for some advice from other mums out there who may have found themselves in a similar situation to mine.

My husband and I welcomed our happy healthy son into the world in Jan 2011. Last year we decided to add to our family. In October last year, at 6 1/2 weeks pregnant it was discovered we had a live ectopic pregnancy in my left fallopian tube. As a result I had emergency key hole surgery to remove the pregnancy and the tube. As I did not have any of the risk factors we were given strict instructions to follow when we became pregnant.

Just recently we decided that we were ready to try again. We found out we were pregnant and booked the early ultrasound. Two days after we had the pregnancy confirmed by blood test I started having really bad pain. We ended up in Emergency again, and were sent straight to surgery where they found I had another ectopic pregnancy but this time it had implated on the outside of my uterus in the scar tissue where my tube had been taken and it ruptured, resulting in 600ml of internal bleeding. I was in hospital for 4 days but am now at home recovering. The drs are all positive about us being able to have another baby (with heavy monitoring) but suggested we wait at least 6 months.

My question to you out there is...has anyone tried again to add to their family after two ectopic pregnancies and been successful? Or do you all think that maybe we are just destined to be a single child family and should be thankful for our son?
