I bought edible icing letters and edible tinkerbell things to put on DD's birthday cake for daycare tomorrow.

I was going to ice and decorate the cake tonight so it is ready to go in the morning, until I realised the letters and tinkerbell things are probably going to be ruined if they are on overnight in the fridge

It says on both packets to put on just before serving if using buttercream icing which I am. So my question is - do you think if I put them on at roughly 8.20am in the morning and the cake doesn't get eaten until 10.30 - 11am will they still look good????

TIA!

I am making 2 Dolly Vardon cakes next Thursday for my girls birthday.

I am planning to use packet mix vanilla cakes for it, im thinking they will need 1.5-2 packets each, im just worried they will burn on top and not cook through by the look of the tin.

Any advice appreciated!
