Hi Everyone,

I am really really hoping I can be given some useful advice. I got a really good flight deal to Malaysia, staying in Kuala Lumphur 3 nights and Penang for 6 nights. Our little man will be 11 months when we plan to go in July. I have also booked a bassinet seat for us.

Friends of DF have frightened him about the danger of taking our son on holiday to Asia. And it has started to resonate with me also. This holiday needs to be as safe as possible.

I currently use an Avent 6bottle Steriliser, will I need to take this with us? He's currently having solids twice per day (home made) but was thinking to get him used to Heinz and buy up at home and pack lots to take with us. So he can have formula (bottled water) and Heinz for solids... Anyone agree?

I am planning to bring insect repellant, however I have noticed on some packaging it advises not to put on small children. Any advice or experiences?

I was originally planning to buy a cheapo stroller to take with us, as I currently have a CityMini. But after doing some reading, I'm thinking to bring this with us as DS sleeps in his CityMini so it might help to keep him settled. Does anyone know if Air Asia will let us take on flight or will we need to check it into luggage? I should probably just call them and ask.

I was thinking to put together information on hospitals, doctors, written together to take with us in case of emergency or something.

I would really really appreciate any Tips, Advice, or to listen to your experiences, please please please please please please please.

Love from
