So I didn't really look into what this was until I was diagnosed yesterday with a severe case of THROMBOCYTOPENIA which is also part of HELLP syndrome. So I am really asking for some more info/help (how ironic) on this topic.

I haven't really put too much weight on but in the last 2 weeks have ballooned with fluid (the wedding rings are officially off). I have just read that with this thrombo, pre-eclampsia can be a big issue and with the both of these powers combined it bascially turns into HELLP.

WTF! I feel ok though just a bit bloated and tired so what are my symptoms supposed to be. My count is low and I find out in 2 weeks if there are any changes with the count but now I am freaking out about heamorraging and going into labour early becasue of the pre-eclampsia.

Can anyone tell me some good or bad stories or experiences that they have had with HELLP just so I know what I am in for.

Thanks in advance

Has anyone not had a single blood test during their first trimester? My doctor told me that I don't need one as he did a urine test that came back positive and I had a dating scan done to confirm dates. Does this sound right to anyone else?
