I tried eliminating all sorts of food from my DS diet and nothing worked. I got him allergy tested and it wasn't so much foods but the preservatives in them. He was also allergic to potato and egg which I never excluded it made buying food very very hard. My advise is get DS allergy tested and then you will know for sure. His skin pretty much cleared up straight away after we changed the foods we bought. Hardly needed the creams.

My son has BAD eczema, I travelled around the counrty side trying to find out what he was allergic to the only clear thing they were able to tell me was Dustmites.

However i discovered myself that he is HIGHLY allergic to strawberrie and this send his eczema out of control and takes days sometimes weeks to get control of again.
Since I have cut out strawberries (which he loves might i add) strawberry jam, strawberry yoghurt his skin is managable. I suspect there is something else he may be allergic to but I am still on the hunt for that!

If you keep a Diary you can monitor what they eat and the reaction to it.
I had the prick test doen for allergies for my son but I didnt find it all that good just showed the Dustmites.

Good luck! I know how hard it can be to try and manage considering I never had it or anyone in my family never had it

I started giving my kids a Zinc Forte supplement on the advise of the naturopath and it is amazing.

Within 2 weeks DS's eczema was totally gone.
Not a single flare up since!

Red face Our little boy's Eczema miracle!!!

Our son has had severe Eczema all over his whole body since he was a baby. After going to many doctors, using many potent creams and meds, and doing all kinds of food elimination diets- with nothing helping him, we felt so frustrated. Our little boy was even steroid dependent bc the allergist kept increasing his doses of oral steroids. It was awful and we never ever slept for the first three yrs of his life.

Our family has had a miracle though that I am so passionate about sharing. We put him on an all natural, allergy free kids chewable probiotic called Bellyboost vy the makers of Vidazorb and it began working within a week or so. He was getting better very quickly and we could not believe it! People stop us all the time now in amazement at what a different child he looks like now. He is happy and healthy and we are so thankful fo rthis!

I have a mom blog with more details at smilinggreenmom.com and would love to share more with you. The community of mommies and daddies sharing info can be helpful in our troubles with this condition! (lots of allergy free recipes too!)

Two of my sisters had severe Eczema, they had goats milk for a bit but switched back to cows after a while, neither of them can have oranges (or orange flavoured things to this day), both had to avoid soap and use a "non-soap" body wash, dustmites were a big problem and one of them can't have anything with raw egg in it (including the flu shot!)

Hope you find something that works!!

I've had eczema myself all my life and it is more related to what touches my skin than what I eat. I react to washing powder with enzymes in it (I use Purity Sensitive), sunscreen with chemical preservatives, creams with fragrance added and soap etc. The washing powder is the main thing and made a huge difference. Mum always used a hypoallergenic brand but once I stayed with relatives for a while who used the 'biological' kind and I had a huge flare up. I am also allergic to dustmites so vacuuming the mattress and frequent washing of sheets is helpful. I moisturise straight after a shower which helps too. I've also put oats in a stocking, tied the end up and swished it around the bath. That adds a milkiness to the water which is very soothing.

One of my friends gets really bad eczema from yeast and berries. She had some allergy blood tests that confirmed what the trigger foods were.
