Always said I wanted 4 kids, I'm from a family of five and loved it. However, after 9 months of sleeping sagas with DS - one step forward, 2 back it seems - I'm reluctant to even 'give' him a sibling. He's the best thing that has ever happened to me, just dont know that I can handle this again .So, my question is: before you had kids, how many did you think you want. After you had kids, did your perception of that change, did you decide that one was enough or was it that good that you went for the whole footy team? Interested to hear your responses!

We always said we wanted 3 and I am currently pregnant with our third. We took a while to decide that we were definitely going back for the last one after number two though

Jet was 2 before I would even consider a second the idea of another horror pregnancy scared the crap out of me. He was 3 before I could start planning another. and god damn it I want another! I wouldn't worry too much yet, it does get easier. It even helps a little as you forget the bad bits ![]() I'm taking it on a case by case basis. We'll do one more and then see how we feel

I'm still baking my first, so I know i am jumping the gun, but felt like answering ......... I always thought I wanted four - two of each ... cause you can order that you know DH was never having any and being that he is 49 he stuck to that for a long time(until he met me of course !!!But after the miscarriages and fertility issues we have pretty much decided one will do.... but never say never!!!

I always wanted 8 but not likely to have that many. I lost my 4th babe at 17w 1d and are now just taking things as they come. I have 2 from my 1st marriage and 1 to my DH. He has no other children and wanted 3 but we will see. Me and pregnancy are not friends and I struggle terribly as does my family.

I always wanted 3 DH always wanted 2. We could never agree. Now that we have had our 2nd, I know my heart wants another but I don't know if I can go through it again. We have 2 kids with birth defects and to find out something is wrong with your baby is just heartbreaking. DH said maybe when DS is at school, but I don't know!

Reading all your replies here makes me feel I'm a whinger, dream pregnancy, healthy baby. Just having a bit of a rough trot (need sleep, lots and lots of sleep), and when I think about my pregnancy with DS and feeling the life in me, we'll probably have another one at some stage....when he's 15 or so, hehe.
