Period Question
Hi,
Has anyone experienced not getting a period when on the inactive pills of their BC? I finished the active pills last Thursday (forgot Friday), and still nothing nor any signs. I have been a bit sick and hence not eating much over the past 2 weeks. I did a preg test using an IC and BFN (I don't actually remember any BD this month anyway). I thought as the pills stimulate whatever hormones that a period was assured when taking the inactives. I certainly don't feel preg and due to being sick have taken large amounts of nurofen and now antibiotics.
Any suggestions? I'm not sure whether to start taking the actives again on Saturday or not.

WheN did you start the antibitoics? They can make the pill ineffective and you could ovulate much later into the cycle. Although thinking there has been no BD action would also render the point moot, does your partner remember any BD you may have forgotten?
I'm not sure about the no AF during the inactive pills question, never happened to me in the times I was taking the pill. I do know of ladies who have skipped the inactive pills for several months so as to not have AF so you probably could take the active ones as normal, but I would consider yourself unprotected just in case although you should be anyway while on ABs, and see if your cycle sorts itself next month. If it doesn't you might want to see a Dr and ask them about it.
Hopefully someone with more experience will pop in with a reply for you too.
