DH has been on it. His side effects were -

Always hot/sweaty
Sometimes dizzy
Shakes
Low sex drive
Forgetfulness

He says that is all he can think of. It may be different for women, I don't know.

Going onto it, I felt like crapola for about a week.... tired, grouchy, headaches, dizziness, nausea. Then it took about another 2 weeks for me to start feeling good. It's coming off it you have to be careful - never do it suddenly, no matter how long you have been taking it for, slowly, slowly, slowly!

I didn't have any longer lasting side effects from it whilst I was taking it, def no weight gain. If anything I had more motivation and oomph about me to lose some weight.

Main advice is to take care of you, try to get plenty of sleep and keep talking.

i went on it and i had dizzy and nauseous feelings, but it only lasted about 4-5 days and then it was all good.

i found it worked really well for me but i chose to come off it.

I was on it and the only side effect I noticed was low sex drive.
I felt heaps better within days of taking it and would take it again in a heartbeat if I needed it.
I did gain a bit of weight after DS was born but it was due to my spastic thyroid being all out of whack.

I second too that when you want to come off to wean slowly.
I hope you feel much better soon.

I started on 10mg in Feb and had really bad dizziness and just felt out of it for the first two days. I then cut back to 5mg for a few weeks before then increasing it back up to 10mg without a problem. The Drs told me that people generally do get side effects the first couple of weeks and then they iron themselves out in most cases.

Long term I have not gained any weight nor do I have any other noticable side effects except for some days I feel a little forgetful.
